What we keep about you, why, for how long, and what you can do about it. Short, because it can be: we keep little and sell nothing.

Who processes your data
Herti BV, Albert I-Promenade 55/A9, 8400 Ostend, Belgium, company number BE 0792.689.938, is the controller.
Questions about your data? Email info@casaherta.com. You get an answer within a month, usually much sooner.
What we keep, and why
If you ask a question: your name, email address, telephone number and what you write. To answer your question. Basis: your request and our legitimate interest in answering it.
If you book: in addition your address, the details of your stay and the payment record. To perform the rental agreement and issue the invoice. Basis: performance of the contract and our accounting obligations.
About your fellow travellers: name, date of birth, nationality and identity document. Because Spanish law requires us to report these to the authorities. Basis: legal obligation. We use these details for nothing else.
If you want the Ibiza guide: your email address, until you unsubscribe. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw from any email.
Your card details never reach us
Payments run through Stripe. Your card number is handled by Stripe directly and never touches our servers. We only see whether a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits.
So that the balance can be charged automatically later, Stripe stores your card in your name. That happens at Stripe, not here, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Who we share them with
Stripe — for payments.
one.com — our mailboxes and the sending of messages.
The party running our website — as a processor, under contract.
The Spanish authorities — solely the legally required traveller details, through the SES.HOSPEDAJES reporting system.
A partner you choose yourself — if you express interest in a private chef, a transfer or a boat, we pass your name and email address to that one partner so they can contact you. Only what is needed, only if you tick the box.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep them
Enquiries: two years, then deleted.
Bookings and invoices: seven years, as Belgian accounting law requires.
Traveller details: three years, as Spanish law requires.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
This site places no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. There is therefore no cookie banner either: one is only needed when there is something to ask.
What the site does use is strictly necessary to work — remembering your language choice, and keeping forms secure.
What you can ask for
You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or receive it in a readable file. Email info@casaherta.com.
Some data we must keep even if you would rather we did not — invoices, for instance. We will say so if that applies.
If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.
